Privacy policy

This site advertises goldisch and takes applications for the beta programme. That is all it does: no account, no purchase, no ad networks, no analytics.

1. Controller

Ingo Laun
Schulstr. 12
55262 Ingelheim
Germany
Email: goldisch(at)ingolaun.de

2. Visiting the site (server logs)

When you visit, the server processes the data every browser sends along: IP address, time, the address requested, the status code, the amount transferred and the browser identification. It sits in the server's log files, serves secure operation and troubleshooting, and is deleted after seven days at the latest.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a working and secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Applying for the beta programme

Whoever submits the form sends: email address (required), optionally a name or form of address, the kind of group, the approximate number of members, what you read, which devices you use, a free text and the preferred language. The time of submission is stored as well.

The only purpose is choosing and looking after the beta testers: we get in touch by email, set up an instance on request and ask how it is going.

The legal basis is the consent given when the form is submitted (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). It can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future – an informal email is enough, and so is a reply to the confirmation mail.

The application is kept until the end of the beta programme and no longer than 365 days after it was last edited; after that it is deleted automatically, and immediately if you withdraw your consent. It is not passed on to third parties.

To fend off automated submissions the server counts how many applications came from one IP address within the last hour. That counter lives in memory only, holds no stored address and expires by itself.

4. Emails

After submission a confirmation goes to the address given and a notification to the controller. Sending runs through an SMTP account of the controller; the provider of that mailbox processes the email as a processor.

5. Cookies

This site sets two cookies, both technically necessary and without any identifier of a person: one protects the form against submissions from elsewhere (CSRF), one remembers the chosen language. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies; no consent is needed for these (Section 25(2) TDDDG).

6. No external content

Fonts, images and the stylesheet sit on the same server. Nothing is loaded from other servers – no CDN, no font service, no maps, no social networks.

7. Hosting

The site runs on a server that the controller operates in Germany. There is no transfer to countries outside the European Union.

8. Your rights

You have the right to information about the data stored, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time; the lawfulness of the processing up to that point is unaffected.

An email to the address above is enough for all of this. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for instance the one where you live.

9. Changes

If the service changes, this statement is adapted. The version published when you visit the site is the one that applies.

This text describes the processing factually and is not legal advice.
